Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate for Individuals
View this service

The DGFT portal accepts Class 3 DSCs, but only when the certificate carries the correct extended key usage attributes and is registered against the IEC. Certificates issued for GST or MCA generally work, but exporters filing licence applications, RoDTEP or MEIS claims often hit registration failures. We issue the DGFT-specific Class 3 DSC pre-registered against your IEC so it works on the first attempt.

What you get
  • Pre-configured for DGFT extended usage — no re-issuance if the portal rejects
  • Registered against your IEC during issuance so you can file within the hour
  • Covers all DGFT modules: IEC modification, licence applications, RoDTEP, MEIS legacy claims, EPCG
  • One certificate serves both DGFT and ICEGATE for customs filings
Who this is for
  • Any holder of a valid Import-Export Code (IEC)
  • Authorised signatory named on the IEC record (usually a director or proprietor)
  • Applicants without an existing IEC — we can bundle IEC registration with the DSC

Workflow

How it works

  1. 01

    IEC and signatory verification

We check the signatory named on your IEC matches the applicant, and flag mismatches before the CA does.

  2. 02

    KYC + video verification

Standard Aadhaar e-KYC + video call, same as any Class 3 issuance.

  3. 03

    DSC issuance with DGFT profile

Certificate generated with the specific attributes DGFT looks for.

  4. 04

    IEC registration on DGFT

We register the DSC against your IEC on the DGFT portal and run a test signature to confirm.

  5. 05

    Handover with cheat-sheet

Token delivered with a short DGFT usage guide covering the module you'll use most.

Realistic timeline

1–2 working days from KYC to a working, registered certificate on the DGFT portal.

When the 1-hour turnaround applies

Our "DSC in 1 hour" claim covers a Class 3 Individual DSC for Indian citizens who walk into our Nagavara office between 10 AM and 3 PM (Mon–Sat) with a valid PAN, an Aadhaar linked to an active mobile number, and are able to complete the Certifying Authority's video verification on the spot. It assumes CCA and Aadhaar UIDAI systems are up and OTPs are received on the first attempt.

  • Organisation, DGFT, ICEGATE, FSSAI and Foreign/NRI DSCs need extra verification and typically take longer — see the timeline above.
  • Doorstep pickup, courier delivery, or after-hours requests add ~4 hours on top of the 1-hour issuance window.
  • Portal outages at the CCA, UIDAI or Certifying Authority are outside our control and can extend timelines.
